BRANDING GUIDELINES DEVELOPMENT

initial layout to work towards building a cohesive visual identity for the SF Planning Department

One of the bigger projects at SF Planning that I started with the help of my supervisor is the development of the Department Branding and Style Guidelines. Because we were updating the visual identity of EP documents, we felt that it would be a great time to start establishing a unified department-wide style. After a few brainstorming sessions, we outlined the contents of the guidelines and I was tasked to start laying this out on InDesign. Some areas of focus include brand identity, typography, photography, and icons. Following the minimalist style of the new EP templates, I created this draft. In the future, I hope to see a finalized version being used across the department. Completed Summer 2020.
